Whether it’s by joining this site or signing up for that contest, attempting to make money online is so prevalent that going offline in order to gain an income may seem to be a lost art. Yet this is far from the case, as there are many legitimate, quick and easy ways to make money without the use of your computer. Here are a few of the many ways to make money offline.


1. Recycle Your Mobile Phone

You can make a bit of spending money by gathering all of your old mobile phones and recycling them. You can even ask your friends and family if they have old phones lying around that they want to get rid of. You can gain a decent amount of cash and aid the environment at the same time by simply head to your local recycling center.


2. The Disney Vault

In order to keep the demand for their classic movies high throughout the generations, Disney often restricts the supply of their home classics. These are locked up for between eight and ten years before they are released for a short amount of time. By purchasing these classics at their normal retail price during their release window you can gain a nice profit once they are put back in the vault. Keep in mind that not every Disney movie is subject to being put in the vault, and only the incredibly popular ones will stay in high demand.

If you own a garage or parking spot that is in a prime location and you aren’t using it then you can make a nice profit from renting it out. Chances are you have an excess supply of shoes, clothes, etc. that you don’t need and will probably never use or wear again. Gather up these things and head to your local surplus or thrift store to try to sell them. You can also attempt to have a garage or yard sale in order to get rid of any items that you don’t need lying around the house. However, this will probably take more effort than heading to a surplus or thrift store.

Selling homemade goodies and lemonade at a lemonade stand may seem like a very traditional way to gain a few bucks, but you can actually turn quite a nice profit, especially if it’s a hot day. This strategy also works great if your neighborhood is having a garage sale, as people tend to walk around browsing other people’s things, and will work up a sweat and will be willing to spend a few dollars on drinks and snacks.

If you are that person who just loves putting together IKEA furniture then you can make a profit by doing it for other people. Whether it’s an entertainment center or a computer desk, many people don’t have the patience or the time to assemble anything, and so it’s a great opportunity to make some cash. If you have any items lying around the house that have gone unwanted and unopened then you can return them to get some pocket money. Even if you’re unable to locate the receipt, you can still receive store credit to be used on more useful items. On top of this, if you have a broken item then try to return it for being defective in order to receive a full refund.

If you got your hands on tickets to any sort of event, such as in a raffle or through your work then don’t just throw them away. Try to sell them. In most states as long as you sell your event tickets at less than or at face value, you are not breaking the law.

This is one of the riskiest ways to try to make money, as you’re not guaranteed to win anything. However, if you are aware of the odds and are decent at playing a few card games then you may want to try your chance at gambling. Just make sure that you know when to walk away.

This way of making money can be quite exciting, especially if you like the idea of getting your face on camera. It’s quite easy and flexible, and it can also be a great conversation starter with your friends. There are plenty of companies that you can sign up for in order to make money being a TV or film extra.


16. Medical Testing

Although this may sound scary, it really isn’t as bad as people think it is. In fact, often times making money through medical testing can be extremely relaxing. It often involves lying down on a bed and eating food. Who doesn’t enjoy that? If you are interested then do your research and make sure that you sign up for government-approved programs. However, be aware that if you’re scared of needles this isn’t for you, as there is often blood work involved.
